First artist statement




 Artist Statement
 “To seek the divine in all things!”  My work is what I like to call spiritlie expresses, it a mix of symbolism with officserives writings from the everyday world that St. Francis called “THE HIDDEN WISDOMS”.  Which are the lessons placed with in all things by the divine, to help us understand who we are and build our personal relationship with the divine.  But then add the ideas of the German express’s about man in humanly to their fellow man.   All these things from the core of my work, but most of all, It my personal relationship with the divine and being is instrument of his divine love to those around me. 

Artist Bio
Lenny was born in 1970 in the small town of Haldane, located 30 miles south of Freeport, Illinois. Lenny is part of a large family. Lenny and his six brothers were raised as General Baptists.  At the age of twenty-five, Lenny married his wife Sarah and decided to convert to Catholicism.
Lenny’s artistic background is composed of art classes from Highland Community College and a Residential Planning Diploma from the Illinois Art Institute in Schaumburg and Pursuing Associate of Science in Interior Design.
Many things influence Lenny’s art. His strong religious ties and St. Francis are some of his influences in the use of animals in his paintings and the use of reflection phases. “I use animals and nature in my pieces because I believe that they have hidden wisdoms placed with in them by the Divine, for us to discover.”  Other influences include painters like Franz Marc, Kandiskey, and Edvard Munch. In addition, the Glasgow cave paintings and carvings found in the Middle Ages also play an important part of Lenny’s art.   So to sum up Lenny French work it about his life along reasonship through art with the Divine and  Helping others to Discover  their
